Who are we? We're Jaques & Richelle!

The owners of Windsor's Premier & Only Boudoir Studio!!

Let me start with telling you the true Story how we "accidentally" opened up a BOUDOIR Studio.

After I (Richelle) had a terrible car accident in 2017, I was left with major neck and back pain, which made being a full-time wedding photographer virtually impossible. Jaques and I were forced to look at our business and figure out how I was going to be able to run a photography business with these types of injuries. 

When the opportunity presented itself to us to rent a studio, we thought 'what perfect timing!'

Jaques and I opened up a Headshots and Boudoir Studio to start transitioning into studio work. It wasn’t very long after we got started that Jaques and I fell in love with the thought of showing women their beauty through the Art of Boudoir. We decided to let go of Headshots, and make Boudoir Photography our primary focus.

We started with Groom's Gifts!

Naturally, because Jaques and I were wedding photographers, we immediately started to help brides create jaw-dropping gifts to give to their groom for the wedding day.

One day, a bride asked us to take photos of her groom opening up his wedding gift from her. We had helped her create a boudoir album a few months prior. As we were shooting his reaction on that wedding day morning, we were shocked!!!Here was a groom looking at his wife-to-be in lingerie, and what did he do? He literally cried.Through his tears, he kept saying how beautiful she was and that he could not believe that she did this for him. He felt so LOVED! Yes...loved!

Jaques and I left that hotel room changed people! My eyes were as big as saucers. “Jaques...this is literally impacting people and marriages”, I said. WE WERE HOOKED!

The stories started pouring in how we were impacting women's confidence!

The stories are countless and give me tears everytime I tell them.

I had a woman once tell me: ‘Richelle, you and your amazing boudoir facebook group is the only positive thing I have in my life right now!’

I have had women cry looking at their album because she realized that she IS beautiful, and refound a part of herself that she thought was lost.

This one client below in the photo explained to Jaques how she went out after her shoot and bought a whole bunch of shorts for the first time in over 10 years, she then went over to him and HUGGED him with gratitude!

You see, when you STOP thinking that you have to increase your confidence BEFORE you do the session, and just book it, you actually realize after, that it's the session that gave you even more confidence than you had!!!

You'll see...when you see those final images, you'll be like, dannnnnng, that's me??? Yes, girl, that's YOU! :)

Self-acceptance is beautiful!

After we started to hear all of the life-changing stories, our goal for the shoot went from creating a gift for their spouse or fiance to impacting her confidence so much that she finally saw the beauty that was there all along. Not 10 years ago, not 10 pounds from now, but, right Now!! 

All of a sudden, the gift became a complete bonus!

We want her to leave the session feeling beautiful, confident, sexy, empowered, and most importantly... we want to be a part of her journey to self-acceptance.

A woman who has a healthy self-image can do anything, and a woman who has confidence is the most beautiful woman of all!

WHY Richelle likes BOUDOIR

Personally, for me (Richelle), being a women who struggled with self-image and confidence issues my entire life, there is something that happens inside of me when I see a woman finally let go and stop covering her insecurities during the shoot, it's something ammmazing to watch!

There is something that happens inside me when I watch her looking at her final images in the office for the first time and she looks over at me with tears in her eyes.

There is something that happens to me when she giggles of excitement and hides her face because she literally can’t believe that it’s her in the images!

When these things happen, I KNOW that she actually finally sees her beauty, and my heart literally becomes so full, because I know how that feels!

Never in a million years did I think that our little studio would literally impact the women of our community to this extent, and I am so happy!!

Whether I'm on the phone answering your questions prior to booking, on the phone helping you prepare for your booked session, sitting with you celebrating the results of your shoot, or whether I'm at the shoot because you requested to add me onto your experience, I'm your cheerleader! And you better believe that I'm going to help you feel loved, welcome and beautiful, BECAUSE YOU ARE!

And you can NEVER argue that point with me, because the images are proof!  :)

For Jaques, his goal is for you to see yourself as ART. 

Jaques is a multiple-times published Boudoir photographer and artist and people drive hours to come get photographed by him for Boudoir.

Magazines and models seek him out for his dark and moody style of photography that leaves a woman seeing herself as a beautiful piece of art.

He was born and raised in South Africa, where he created nature and wildlife art, but also where the female body is celebrated and seen as Art.

Jaques always tells me and the clients that he wants her to see herself in a way that she has never seen before! Jaques says ‘My goal is to see her face light up when she sees her images and to be in disbelief that it’s actually her! I want her to be proud to show her groom or husband the final products!

He always tells our clients that if these images don't blow your husband's mind, we have failed, LOL!! It should be the very best gift he has EVER received!

Our goal became to impact 3 women per week

We wanted to help women and create 3 new stories a week through the Art of Boudoir. What an impact this has made in our community!

First thing you do is set up a call  with Richelle to get your Questions answered and give you a customized quote as everyone is truly different. 

Some ladies simply want more information before deciding to book, but most of our ladies get the details and get booked into the studio over the phone! It's really up to you. No pressure!

Whether you book your session on your own online or over the phone, you'll fill out a Planning form so that all of us are ready for you and you to have the best customized experience ever!

We want to know your story, your motivation for doing the shoot, if you are planning something special, if there is a deadline, and of course... your favourite music and drink for the studio! :)

At The Boudoir Studio, clients get to decide on the experience that they want. One of the most important things to us is that you are comfortable and that you have an amazing experience! Everyone is different in what makes them comfortable, so we let our client customize her Boudoir Studio experience. 

Choices:

1. Be shot by the artist (Jaques) and bring a friend for support to hang out for the day and help you feel more at ease. We have a very nice change room that she usually hangs out in, drinks mimosas with you, etc. Let's face it, you'll have a blast!

2. Be shot by the artist (Jaques) alone because you feel that fewer people will make you relax more and be yourself. A lot of our clients have gotten to know Jaques through our Facebook VIP group and are comfortable with him. They know that he is very professional & renowned for his boudoir and is very sought out by models & magazine publications.

3. Be shot by Jaques and have Richelle present at the shoot to help with wardrobe or just be a cheerleader for encouragement ($100 upgrade as Richelle won't be able to be in the office that day)

The Boudoir Session Experience Fee

To book your shoot, we require a $149+tx session fee to secure your shoot space and pay your Professional Hair & Makeup artist.

When you book online, you just choose your date/time with our online scheduler. Your Products are Extra and will be purchased at your Viewing and Ordering Session, where you’ll be able to view and select the photos for your order. Products, Albums, Art Work all range in pricing. We can customize for you on the call, but most clients start at least with a $499 Collection. We'll walk you through the different options on the phone consultation.

If you decide to make payments toward your product with our payment plans, as soon as the order is paid in full, we place your order with our Album and Art Work Supplier.

Our Main Goal: to make you feel beautiful & welcome!!

Once you are booked into the Studio, the fun begins, yay!

1.  You'll be sent a Confirmation Email and Prep Guide to get yourself ready
2.  You'll be sent a link to book another Prep Call with Richelle (if needed)
3.  You'll start preparing your outfits

Planning your outfits & accessories

A well-planned shoot makes all the difference in the final images. Planning it can be a little time-consuming on your end, but will be so worth it, trust me! We usually suggest 3-4 outfits and bring something meaningful (your wedding lingerie/his favorite jersey, etc). Don't forget to bring something for the shower (either a t-shirt, crop top or tank top), and something for artistic nudes (if you are not going completely nude, bring a g-string and bra).

Don’t forget the shoes! We love to use shoes in the shots! Some girls send me pictures of their outfits (layed out flat) prior to the session if they need advice. If you are trying to communicate your vision, feel free to email me. Most girls just leave it up to us.

The Day of Your Shoot

What's gonna happen?

1. Get pampered by our Professional Hair/Makeup Artist 

2. Jaques (or Jaques & Richelle) greet(s) you 

3. You sign the shooting agreement 

4. We help you choose the order of your outfits and vision 

5. Start shooting

When you arrive, our amazing Professional Hair & Makeup artist will greet you with your favourite music and preferred beverage. She will do a small consultation with you to determine the feel you are going for, and start creating an incredible look for you.

We reserve 2 hours for this pampering service so that you do not feel rushed. Finally, she will finish up by applying gorgeous lashes. Professional Hair & Makeup is such a crucial part of Boudoir. It accentuates your beauty and creates the most amazing images, and this is why it’s included in your Session Fee. We want to make sure you look and feel amazing, and at the same time, we want you to have an incredible experience!

We usually book clients in the studio on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday mornings. We always get you in at 9 a.m. so that once 11 a.m. hits and we are ready to shoot, the natural light is beautiful and dreamy coming through the studio and you are going to look ammmazing!

The best part is, our Makeup Artist is very familiar with Jaques' shooting style and will make sure that your makeup looks perfect for these darker-styled images, so that you don't look like you have racoon eyes, LOL.
